token post o the day
tax work getting discouraging. scores are good, but still not at passing level.
still doing research on the great watch project, more on that later.
sylvia is getting good at saying 'boom' for lightning. we're trying to instill a love for thunderstorms while still retaining some basic respect. during dinner there were several very large booms, including one that was very loud and close. we couldn't tell how close because the sun was still out and we couldn't see the lightning flashes. it i told jeff i was tempted to look outside and make sure nothing was burning. i was assured that it wasn't that close, however when i opened the curtains for sylvia to look outside after dinner there were 4 fire trucks at the house just around the bend. most of them left fairly quickly and there was still the whole boom thing going on, so i'll have to check tomorrow to see how bad it was. i suspect it was just a tree that got hit. needless to say, sylvia did not get a bath tonight.
