i am thinking about a cat. and without trying to get my hopes up too
much, that is a good thing to be thinking about.

i am trying not to think about the multiple compatibility tests and
the uber-important medical checks, and the lifetime commitment not to
be made casually....

man...

she's a tortie by the way, and i am trying very very hard not to think
about names.

sigh, unfortunately it was too early to be thinking even the thoughts that we had been thinking. as mentioned in later post, she has been taken back by her alleged owners. sorry, i am having bitter nasty thoughts about people who would own a kitty and not get her spayed. ok, that and a good amount of disappointment.

I'm still pissed for Cole that he has a microchip and yet his 'owners' didn't bother to register it. That's crazy!

that is sad, but maybe they thought they already had? i remember when we got zephyr, they had chipped her and the paperwork to register her location was just one of many in our vast heap. of course, we did register her, so getting lost was never her issue.

i did go on petfinder.org to look for kitties after all. i found a gorgeous female cat about the right age, named Raja... i decided to stop there.

you see, this is why everything should be much closer together. it would solve a lot of these pesky problems like cats being on the wrong continent.

My advice is to open your heart, but not to look. The right cat will find you. It's how we got Venus and her sisters.

...I also give this advice to people looking for human relationships. It seems to work in both cases (most of the time.)

well, the thought that's cheering me now, is that this isn't like waiting for a baby. we can go down to the shelter and know there will be tons of cats there who could all use a good home.
