on her own terms
Dec. 3rd, 2004 11:08 amlast night i got a call from my mom that my grandmother had been moved to hospice. she was peaceful and somewhat aware, but on the good drugs.
this morning, my mom called to tell me she had passed away.
i am not happy about this, but it is so much easier to take knowing that she had such a good rich life and left on her own terms.
i'm at work, more or less just poking about seeing how much of this crap i can get out of the way. i think i could leave if i really wanted to, but it seems better to press on.
***
donations to hospice are requested in lieu of flowers.

the userpic is not inappropriate jubilation, but a picture of me at grandma's house many christmases ago.
