glad you like the shoes. my dad used to run (who knows, maybe he still does) and used to swear by brooks. he has very narrow feet and higher arches and has a hard time finding shoes that fit right. also, if the arches aren't high enough, you can add arch supports underneath the insole (not the big clunky kind, but a small foam support that sticks to the underside of the insole).
i'm sure you will do well with the running. when i started a bunch of years ago i went from walking to jogging two miles non-stop in a month or two. wind sprints are your friend. your friend that you would like to take out behind a 7-11 sometime and grind into the glass and leave for dead, but a friend. (now all i need is the motivation and time to start doing this again.)
