need to sleep. i'm back from the farmer;'s market. i decided to skip going to the book signing with
h_postmortemusout of a feeble hope i could get my tomatoes planted. now i think i'm just going to nap with sylvia.

gardening accomplishment
May. 3rd, 2003 07:16 pmthe nap was a good idea. sylvia only slept for a half hour, but then she was hungry again and i slept while i fed her :) i love breastfeeding. she'll never be this easy to feed again.
h_postmortemus returned from the book signing very buzzed and happy. i wished i had gone to see some of the raleigh sci-fi community that i only seem to see at trinoc-con, but i needed the nap. more importantly, when jeff returned, he was able to watch sylvia so i could get my precious tomatoes and eggplants in the ground. the guy i got them from is semi-famous in the area because of his great selection of heirloom veggies, but i was truly impressed. i have grown lots of 'odd' tomatoes and there were many i had never heard of available. so, the tomato and eggplants are all settled in the raised beds.

it is truly amazing how much faster and easier veggies are to plant than ornamentals, especially when the raised beds are all set up.
