how to begin?

i've not been journaling since tuesday and a lot of things have been happening. expect many small and large posties in a smattering of communities. before t-day, i had also gotten myself fairly active in write_away, so expect a few posties in there as well. i sure hope sylvia takes a long morning nap, because the afternoon nap i have reserved for real life. it seems like a sensible plan.

asleep awake asleep

sylvia stirred from her nap, but was not really awake so i gave her a bit of the 'ol rockabye treatment. the long car rides and unfamiliar surroundings have thrown a real wrench into her sleep routines, but she seems to be readjusting well.

kind of sort of

caught up with livejournal - except for all of the lj-cuts and comments that i naturally opened up a new tab to read later. sylvia outfoxed me and started her afternoon nap almost immediately after lunch. i had just changed her diaper so we could go out and exchange some overly pink clothes when she decided to cruise off to napland. maybe she's more used to sleeping during the day after all of the traveling. oh well, i have started the jamaican jerk chicken marinading - off to flip laundry.

the great book project

just a note to say that the project is alive and well, but Shardik is a very long book.
