home again home again
Nov. 9th, 2004 02:02 pmsylvia's home sick. she was very dopey and cranky this morning, but didn't have a temperature so we were able to fool ourselves that she was just tired from not sleeping well. i got the call at 10am that she had a 101+ deg fever and could i please come and take her home. poor wittle thing. one of the directors was snuggling with her in her office. i'm sure part of it was just to keep her away from the other kids, but she gets very clingy when she's sick. i took her to the doc who ruled out flu and meningitis and advised motrin and time. so... it's been a while since i've been home during the day with my baby. mind you, when i got home 2 hrs ago i plopped her in her crib and she's barely stirred since. sigh, there are so many things that i could be getting done, but i'm reveling in the mid-day slackitude.
in better news, we got a message yesterday from the shelter asking us to call back and discuss alternatives to having our new kitty wait in the shelter 2 more weeks for her spaying. i understand they have their policies, but they only have so much space there and i want to take our kitty home so another cat can have a chance. there were just too many sweet kittens there to think about the odds of them all finding a home.
