I made Croque Monsieur* tonight. It is to a grilled cheese sandwich, as Guinness is to root beer. How good was it? Sylvia not only ate it happily, but asked to save it for DESSERT tomorrow. Yes, it is not just edible, but can be classed along with chocolate and cake by a 4 year old.

a prediction
Jul. 17th, 2007 07:26 pmthe last episode of MASH set some awe-inspiring records, including a 'sewage record' that was set when so many people delayed powdering their nose until the episode was over.
my prediction is that there will be strong and noticable drops in internet cruising from Sat - Tues. i'm curious to see if this will occur, but of course, not so curious as to risk the nets until i've read it. i'm not sure when that will be.
i have not yet arranged a purchase of the HP novel. for every previous novel, i have waited, borrowed & returned. my plan is to buy a reasonably priced paperback box set of the entire series when it is available. however, as i see my lj-friends going into internet seclusion one by one, my resolve is weakening. i do not need to spend $20 right now. my pauvre bank account is still recovering from France. still... i do not want this one spoiled.
