The teacher is Peter Makuck. He is retired from ECU, and the editor of Tar River Poetry.

oh! I've only read a little bit of his work, but I like what I've read, very much. I've got a book of his on my "pick this up from the library sometime" list -- Off-Season in the Promised Land. :)
