more on the sleep saga
sylvia went to bed like an angel tonight. an angel that took her sweet time, yes, but still an angel. in order to give ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
h_postmortemus some extra time for work, and yes, because he got very stressed from yesterday's experience, i did the nighttime routine. it was going better from the bath on, as jeff managed to get the ritual 'smile at the baby in the mirror' very easily and we got nada yesterday. i was determined to read and rock as long as it took in order to avoid the meltdown point, but she never got close. we read: Mirror Me, Big, numbers and dinosaurs (can't remember the title), The Cat in the Hat, and after a false start with rocking and crib, we then read a page or two of Just So Stories. the second time, i got her in the crib just fine and she's (knock on something very soft and quiet) still sleeping :).
p.s. more new icons. keep watching this space. i've got a paid account and will be experimenting further. eventually, i'll investigate the whole s2 style thing.
