non-raleighites this is news. i am such a wimp that by the time i dare to venture out, on foot, because it's safer than by wheels, it seems half the known world is going about their normal business. i don't feel that bad, because they haven't plowed our road yet. it feels like jumping centuries to go from our little road to sawmill, which is the nearest cross street and a fairly important thoroughfare. in any case, i have been there and back and am thoroughly cured of cabin fever.
