scrambled and nap needing
Feb. 7th, 2004 10:20 pmgood things: i found out that sylvia should be wearing a size 4 shoe, dinner was composed of very tasty homemade nachos and sylvia actually ate quite a lot(well for her)
bad things: the garbage men stole my compost, i turned the wrong way on 540, didn't notice and ended up going to triangle town center in the most bizarre way possible. while there, i did not find any baby shoes as the one store that really specialized in such things only had sandals because it's february. i'm not going to try to explain that in any logical way, when calling jeff's mom we found out that her neighbor a fairly cranky, but nice in her own way former UF prof had passed away. she'd had a series of strokes and had not really been herself for the past year.
travel plans: the plan thus far is to visit grandma/greatgrandma in 2 weeks when my contract with hrblock will be over. then in march we're going to fly to texas at the same time that my sister flys there with little caleb so that everyone can see each other in a way that is much more logical than it sounds. it is far cheaper to fly to texas than tallahassee. next task, convincing mom that a minivan might be necessary to tote 4 adults and 2 babies.
more later, i need a nap, badly.
p.s. did i mention that sylvia has taken her first steps? whoops, told ya i was tired. see, i didn't post that yesterday because we hadn't told the grandmom units yet. now, all are cleared for info. her steps are very very tiny, but she seems quite happy about them. the first occured while i was working. yes, i'm fine because i knew that was going to happen. the second after i came home and more or less demanded a demo. steps 3 AND 4 occured as a pair while we were all playing in the living room. shocking stuff. i think it will still be a while before i need to worry about her running me ragged.
