another random update

going to texas tomorrow to see mom/grandma who lives there and my sister/auntie charlene & caleb who are flying in from florida. we're doing a little impromptu reunion action. i managed to get matching outfits for sylvia and caleb so there should be some very cute photos.

did a massive maintenance on the fishtanks saturday including a full teardown on the 4 gallon and a partial teardown of the 10 gallon. i am hoping to be able to actually get some fish in them after we return from texas. i'm thinking guppies in the 10 gallon with the 4 gallon as a male bastion/quarantine tank.

writing is up slightly. i'm getting that easy feeling again where i feel like i can write the occasional snippet here and there.

work is going fairly well. the clients i was agonizing over are now completed and on their way! i have one file pending that i was given specifically as a growth exercise. i got as far as i could on it and handed it back to bosslady to check on some inconsistencies. i'm sorry if this bit sounds vague, but the privacy regs are strong.

grandma/greatgrandma is back in her own room from rehab. we're supposed to be visiting again after tax season, but i'm not sure if we're just going to drive up there or if we're going to go as part of a SANS conference.

i think Sedna is a lovely name for a planetoid. its inuit meaning is lovely, but a mischievious part of me wonders if it's an unintentional homage to Andes mints ;)

h_postmortemus went to the doc today to diagnose some head pain and it turns out he does have an ear infection. he's already taken the first part of the zpac and has painkillers as well, so he's feeling fairly positive about the flight.
