not a good start

today is supposed to be a fairly busy day: take sylvia to daycare so
that jeff can drive his boss to work, work, check in at the con, run a
game and then home.

this morning was supposed to start with giving rajah his medicine and
then jeff will take him to the vet to be boarded while we are in durham
this weekend. we couldn't find him anywhere when jeff went to give him
his medicine, but jeff did see him this morning. it's possible he
slipped out, and we looked everywhere, but i am really not feeling good
about this. so, if anyone wanted to cheer me up, that would be ok.

Cats are remarkable creatures, perfectly capable of entering a slipstream effect in which they take care of themselves for days at a time. Even cats who need medicine are essentially lone creatures who are designed by nature or by nature's god for surviving stretches of time away from humanity. Rajah, I suspect, will be just fine.

slipstream, hmmm, yes, i think i'll buy that. at least for the hours i need to not be worrying about my cat.
