a night off
Feb. 24th, 2005 11:34 pmthe tax season is slowing down a bit so i got to go to the alternative Stitch N Bitch at Brier Creek. sheer heaven. i got to see
auryn29a which means that my social life has more or less made a complete circle. i met many nice people, and gained much assistance starting my very first pair of socks. or rather, sylvia's first pair of socks. i figure that no matter what size they are, they'll fit her at some point ;).
elsewhere in the world, sylvia is in a real bed now and is doing fairly well. she's fallen out of the bed at least once, but is no more shaken than her normal middle of the night fears. she is waking up more than i'd like, but that's mostly because she has been coming down with something and is STILL teething. the first few nights in a bed she pretty much slept through.
taxes continue onwards. i still enjoy it, i just wish i wasn't doing it on top of a 40 hr job.
h_postmortemus's mom is getting hip replacement surgery in the next few weeks. this is a very good thing, but it means that sylvia and i will be on our own for a few days while he goes down for assistance and moral support. be very afraid. the last time we were denied his company, i bought 2 giorno pizzas and that pretty much did it for lunches and dinners. now sylvia is really eating, i feel some obligation to provide actual food. then again, she does love pizza hmm.... must make note to rearrange the tax gig.
also, i've started experimenting with www.linkedin.com. it looks to be a dandy site for professional references. i've just gotten started playing with it, but don't be too surprised if you get an odd email from the site.
