in more recent news, i have just dropped my mom off at the airport. my mom arrived yesterday by train (from baltimore, from new york, from texas). i knew she would not have much time, but it was still sad to drop her off. i wish our family had not gotten so dispersed. we did have a good day today though. we went to shelley lake and walked around and then met h_postmortemus for lunch. sylvia has been in a good mood for much of the day and that has helped a lot. all of our friends and family are so spread out there would be no way to live near more than a few, but it still hurts sometimes. i suppose it might feel differently if we had more more money for travel right now. i am hoping that h_postmortemus's job situation will resolve soon and we will be able to think about taking more trips. i found another potential postion. it's a weekend leasing consultant at an apartment complex. it doesn't sound as interesting, and i am not as overqualified for it, but it would pay more.

*encouragement hugs* here's hoppin and hopin the job dealy works out and the movies i'd think would be more fun than signing leases of folks. yech. i did that it was terminally boring and oftentimes annoying.

i am somewhat torn as to which job to prefer. the movies might pay more if they had any part time manager type positions. but that's not very likely.
