woke up this morning and didn't feel like i was half dead. some combination of the weather and the general intensity of taking care of sylvia had really gotten to me. i got a good nights sleep last night and sylvia might have skipped a feeding. she went from sleeping through the night to eating every 3 hrs somewhere around 4 months. at first we thought it was a growth spurt and then maybe teething and then i just gave up figuring it out. i'm still not sure, but sylvia is 5 months now and in one more month we introduce solid food *gulp*.

the weather has broken and it was actually sunny this morning. it's clouded back up again, but i think i'm ok for now. i need to take pictures of a few daylilies. several of my mom's are blooming today and my 4 of my purple-my-butt daylilies are blooming together. it looks lovely. the balloonflower buds are now big enough to look like small balloons. i've seen several large clumps in the neighborhood so it looks like they are well suited for this climate. it has been raining for days *whoop whoop, ye're all gonna die in the great flood* per the weather channel. more importantly though, it means i'll have to wait for days after the last rain to plant the plants i got myself for my birthday.

what color are they actually displaying? the former owner planted disgusting orange, some yellow, and some burgandy looking things. Her yellow iris didn't even bloom this year. my purple ones did for the first time.(planted them two years ago).

Morning glories are wilty in some spots and going fine in others. The star of yelta purple self seeders are smaller but brilliant in color. :) I didn't plant a purchased seed this year, just carried the vine all over the backyard shaking seeds out. :)

Anna did that. I hope you have better luck with Sylvia than we did with Anna. Anna would sleep well and then she started in with the once every 3-4 hours thing around 4 months. We finally got her to sleep through the night again around 14-15 months of age. Part of our problem was she didn't like baby food which is the usual trick of sleeping through the night. Then we were with Mother-in-law and her baby wasn't permitted to cry. After we moved out into our new place, we attempted to Ferberize Anna and it worked this time.

Good Luck!
