a memory

when i was a kid, middle/high school aged, i would play this trick on my mom many mornings. i would come up to her in the kitchen and give her a hug and then shut my eyes, slump and attempt to get a little more sleep. mind you, we're both standing in the kitchen, but it was precious snooze time. i am reminded of this as sylvia sleeps on top of me.

it wasn't till i started taking the insulin resistance meds i ever wanted to nap, except during overseas trips. That story is very sweet, makes me want to say bugger off teeth, and just come up and visit to watch her snooze!

now, now. don't tell your teeth to bugger off. visiting is just a matter of scheduling at this point. we're more or less settled in.
