there's a hole in the bucket dear Liza a hole!
--
there are a lot of knitting & literature books upstairs in our room. i cleared off the rest of the mini-bookshelf, but these had no home
...because the bookshelf where they belong downstairs is overful already
...but some of these are coffeetable books that would be nice to have in the living room where they can be enjoyed more easily.
...we have no coffeetable, but we do have a large 'breakfront' that we are using as an entertainment center. it's enormous, with glass doors and lights.
...it is also full of china that was collected by a great aunt in-law and gifted to us because of my love of tea.
...the china did go in the china cabinet that we purchased months ago, but it has permanently sticky shelves.
...we don't have time/money/energy to strip the shelves right now, but i did install an ingenious lining of lace trimmed muslin on two out of three shelves before my last interlude of free time was over several months ago.
...today, i finally finished gluing on the last panel of lace to the muslin and installed it on the top shelf. VICTORY! it actually was a tedious process getting all the stuff out and measuring the strip of muslin so i feel somewhat justified in the delay.
i have started the actual repair of the hole in the bucket by moving all the china into the china cabinet. next stop, world peace.
