If you had to choose between writing a 6-8 page paper on:

A) The Dukes of Burgundy and their Role in the Hundred Years War, or
B) La Chanson de Roland/Chivalry/Old French
C) I am so furious with you that this is not a clicky poll that I think that you should write about the dialect of Inspector Clouseau, fail the course, and get kicked out of the French dept.

...which would you choose?

I need to decide by this afternoon, although the paper is not due till the end of the semester.

heh, this prof has set many interim goals - which is good, but also means that i'm sweating now.

i THINK that i have changed my mind entirely and will study the religious wars of Charlemagne.

mmmm, Charlemagne. I was going to vote for La Chanson de Roland anyway, on account of how I was a lit major.

I would love to write on La Chanson de Roland, but the problem is with the scope of the paper. I could summarize it, but there is no point in that. I could make it a linguistic paper, which would be interesting, but possibly above me, and most probably a more than 6 page paper.

i can't think of a good song, therefore in my scattergories type of mind, i will leave you with refrains from istanbul no it's constantinople, no it's istanbul.... and that would be served with a side of greyuere on a millet cracker with herbs de provence with the bubbly. a magnum of it. :)
