some good, some bad
sylvia is no longer 100% breastfed. but, i'm fine, really i am! actually, i'm quite proud of her. she made the traditional uck face, but she was quite tolerant of our feeding efforts. we think she might have gotten a quarter teaspoon of bananas. the real bananas were not quite as ripe as we would have liked, so we used the jar bananas.
h_postmortemus took out a demo 'nana and i broke off a bit of it and mooshed it into the rest of the store bought food so she has also had 'real bananas'. there are photos of course, but i have no idea when i'll get them up on the website. sylvia also turned over a second time! it was on the bed and we're thinking the softer surface may make things a bit easier for her. progress continues.
in other news,
h_postmortemus took rajah to the vet today and he has lost 2 lbs in about 6 months. we will see. the vet is checking into the top suspects: thyroid, diabetes and kidney conditions. he is about 11 years old, but i'm still hoping to keep him around for quite a while.
in other news,
Baby munchies and kitty cats
I have actively treated diabetes and kidney in cats. If that is the case, Rajah will probably live a longer healthy life. Granted giving a cat insulin shots was fun at first but they get into a routine. Toi is still around after 18 years. Granted he got rid of the diabetes, and now we are on to kidney failure.
