rapid update

i'm still here. bexfiles and nunnehi have been staying with us in between day trips. we've been having fun and playing games, but mostly slacking ;). sylvia is definitely cutting a tooth. the first bumps are now visible and it actually feels sharp. in the past few days she has been sleeping and eating more than usual and i think this is because she's past the worst of the teething. i could be wrong.

sylvia's first swimming class went well. i did finally find her a swimsuit. i call her captain america when she is wearing it, because it is blue with white and red silvery stars. she did not really have a problem with any part of the swimming class, but she also is not old enough to truly participate in many ways. when we got to the part were we're supposed to just say, "kick, kick, kick, splash, splash, splash" and let the babies follow directions, she did nada. however, neither did the other babies that were her age. it seemed to be mostly the older babies/kids that were freaking.

Anna always cuts back on sleep and food just before a tooth comes in. She gets to fussy to sleep well and to painful to eat. Afterwords she sleeps 14 hours a day and eats more food than me for a couple of days.

Anna sort of flirted a little bit with the other moms by the end of her class. She still didn't interact with the class but she did with me. The instructor took her some and they had fun but she mostly wanted to be back in my arms. It's been about two months since then and she is all about the pool, splashing, kicking, paddling and going under is her thing these days. I could barely get her to do anything before. I think of our swimming class as a training mom in what to do class. By the end of the class Anna could get to the wall if she jumped in. I took what I learned from the class and taught her to have fun in the water since.
