we attempted to get in some extracurricular swimming with sylvia, but the pool was closed due to faint echoes of thunder - wusses! ok, i know lightning is a serious concern, but it was terribly disappointing to get everyone and stuff in the car and arrive only to see an empty pool and gaggles of kids leaving the building. we even called before we started getting ready to make sure the pool was still open. blergh, i say, blergh.

Half of Anna's swim classes got canceled because of thunder and lightning. Miami, 5pm, hot day, it just happens.

I always took Anna to the park afterwords. Have you tried her in the infant bucket swings yet?

that's a good idea. i haven't tried sylvia in the infant seats yet. we checked them out a couple of months ago and we didn't think sylvia could handle holding herself up that well yet, but she probably is ready now. i was thinking that it was good that sylvia was too young to know that she missed out on going swimming.
