all gone

we are partway through week 4 and sylvia is finally showing real acceptance of solid food. she has actually started opening her mouth for more! i didn't think we'd ever see the day. she got about 3 teaspoons (minus considerable spillage) of squash and rice cereal.

Gif! Gif!

Wait till spaghetti with a sauce... Hehehehe, now THAT, is spillage. Hopefully, she will continue to like baby foods.

well, last night and today she seems to be showing signs that maybe she got a bit too much cereal in her :(. we're going to skip the solids tonight and see if she feels better. hopefully, this is just a burble in the digestive system.

Oooo...I can help with that.

When you make her cereal use breast milk. It has a natural laxative in it. I figure you are doing this already. I had the same thing happen with Anna except she was really clogged up. I talked with the doctor and he said to give her an oz. of prune juice (no frills, sugar, etc.) and Anna managed to squeeze out a brown golf ball. I don't know how she did it, but no permanent damage and everything was okay. It only happened once so it was probably just an adjustment thing. The squash should also help her and I wouldn't stop giving her that.
