i went ahead and got sylvia's hair cut today. it was just getting in her way too much. *sniff* she was upset at being strapped into the little car and i upset the hairdressers routine by not letting her pop in a video. however, sylvia enjoyed plan b, which was blowing bubbles, immensely. i am not sure of the final result. she just looks so different. she's napping now and when she awakens, her hair will have had a chance to settle. it is definitely out of her eyes though and that's the main issue, right? (muffled sniffling) we did get a souvenir photo and snip of hair. h_postmortemus completely did not get the big deal about the first hair cut. for me, it's the first on a rapidly dwindling checklist of things to do before exiting babyhood.

Anna hasn't had a haircut yet. Grandma won't let us. ;)

Actually, it's getting nicer now - it's long enough that it's starting to stay back and not get in her face constantly. Emphasis on "starting".

i think anna is a little luckier in that her hair is curly. sylvia's is quite straight and (was) making a beeline for her eyes. the real decision maker came when i was looking at some tiny baby pictures before her eyebrows had completely filled in and realized that i hadn't seen sylvia's eyebrows for a while.

I'm with you on this! Ryan hasn't had his first haircut yet, and the hubby keeps making motions about wanting to get it done. I'm resisting so far, I just love his wispy baby hair the way it is! (It is getting long in the bangs though)
