h_postmortemus's birthday so i was trying to do stuff for him as much as i could during the day. sadly, he had to work, but he doesn't have to work friday so that's going to be a makeup day. today was the 'birthday evening' as i do have to work friday night. anyways, i got him a small, but stellar example of crystalline pottery. it was a tough choice to get the riffer a breakable item, but he really seemed to appreciate it as it is both geeky and beautiful. i gave it to him when he came home for lunch. we had a brief, private birthday break complete with mini-hawaiian theme. i made him wear his lei back to work :).
for his birthday dinner we went to cheesecake factory. oh my. that was very good. too stuffed to write more, but i must mention that sylvia continued her trend of eating vast quantities and i think this is definitely a growth spurt. i think she was completely stunned by how good the whip cream on top of our cheesecakes was. the cheesecakes weren't too shabby either. mmm, dutch! apple! streusal! cheesecake! ok, i think i'll go write now. must work on my pantoum generator.
