I have a job!

Oddly enough, I am hoping this will result in more posting/writing activity as I will no longer be spending my spare time job hunting. It's a data processing position with a little bit of an analytical side as I'll also be tracking down missing information. The company is fairly interesting as they keep track of information for the railroads.

In less important news-I'm sorry I didn't make it to the shindig after all yesterday. I'm still a bit under the weather & had to reserve what energy I had for an evening thing. As it was, I was pretty exhausted all day. I hope you had a good time.

Is there an element of quality assurance here?

i guess it could be considered a little bit on the quality assurance side, although i usually consider that to be in-house dealing with products being made etc. this is applying changes introduced from the carriers, checking them against the existing database and tracking down discrepancies. what i did today involves checking 2 databases and then making phone calls and doing research to reconcile what i found.
