h_postmortemus decrated sylvia's new car seat yesterday. after an evening of diligent manual studying, he went to install the new seat. out comes the old seat and in goes the new. or so we thought.
h_postmortemus gave the seat a good tug as a final test and was able to twist it almost upside down. so now he's off to wal-mart in hopes they will have the legendary tightening device. meanwhile, there is no way that sylvia can be safely transported.

That's the best, safest, sturdiest way to attach a car seat. If the carseat doesn't have it, you can buy a retrofit kit.....

just something to think about for future.... in case you ever need to remove it and then reinstall.... which is, btw, a pain in the ass! :(
glad the mighty tite worked though!! :)

Date: 2003-07-01 07:30 pm (UTC)And there are these metal H thingies I use to adjust the straps - all out carseats came with one, and now I've got extras (as we upgraded from infant to toddler to booster seats). not that i can find all of them, mind you....
